Calcium is essential as the mineralising agent for the bones and teeth and assists in maintaining a healthy nervous system, particularly in the transmission of nerve impulses. Magnesium is also necessary for the nervous system and a sufficiency is required to maintain nerve health. Both are presented together because too much Calcium can lead to low levels of Magnesium.
